Firmware Update Instructions:
Starting from firmware version 7.0.1.10, only signed firmware images are supported. Updating the firmware directly from an unsigned version (version 7.0.0.20 or an earlier version) to a signed version (7.0.1.x) is not supported. Instead, you must update to a transition ONIE image first, and then to the signed ONIE image version 7.0.1.x as shown below:
- Update from unsigned firmware version 7.0.0.x to transition firmware version 7.0.1.6.
- Update from transition firmware version 7.0.1.6 to signed firmware version 7.0.1.x.
As of this release, the transition firmware image version is 7.0.1.6. The transition firmware image provides options to update to a signed or unsigned firmware image as shown below. Do not use transition firmware for production. The transition firmware “with verification” refers to a signed firmware image and the transition firmware “without verification” refers to an unsigned firmware image.
