NETGEAR is discontinuing support for the ReadyCLOUD feature. The ReadyCLOUD remote file access function allows you to remotely access the data on your ReadyNAS system or a USB storage device attached to your router. If you currently use ReadyCLOUD, we encourage you to move your files to a cloud storage application such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. You will not lose any data due to the end of ReadyCLOUD support, but you will no longer be able to access your files remotely.

WiFi routers

ReadyCLOUD service for WiFi routers is ending on April 4th, 2023.

If you use ReadyCLOUD with a WiFi router, you will still be able to connect a USB drive to your router and access its files from your home network.

ReadyCLOUD support is being removed from WiFi router web interfaces via firmware update. Because the cloud service required for ReadyCLOUD functionality is being shut down, the ReadyCLOUD feature cannot be used even if you install older router firmware that supports it. For a list of routers that supported the ReadyCLOUD feature, see Which NETGEAR routers support ReadyCLOUD?

ReadyNAS

ReadyCLOUD service for ReadyNAS devices is ending on July 1st, 2023.

If you use ReadyCLOUD with a ReadyNAS device, you can still access the ReadyNAS locally, using Windows, Linux and Mac file transfer protocols. All ReadyCLOUD-based services, such as automatic backup, synchronization, and photo backup, will no longer be available after the end of service.
