Use the Advance Mesh Configuration page in the Insight app to change the mesh mode for an access point (AP).

To change an AP's mesh mode using the Insight app:

  1. Launch the Insight app.
  2. If you have an Insight Pro account, select an organization.
  3. Select your network location.
  4. Tap the AP.
  5. Tap Mesh Topology.
  6. Tap the gear icon.
    The Advance Mesh Configuration page appears.
  7. Select an option in the Mesh Mode section.

    The following options are available:

    • Auto: The AP is automatically configured as a root or extender AP.
    • Extender Only: The AP acts as an extender.
    • Root Only: The AP acts as a root AP even if it does not have Internet connectivity.
    • Disable Mesh: The AP's mesh functionality is disabled.
  8. Tap the Save button.
