The 6 GHz wireless band was introduced with the WiFi 6E standard and is exclusive to devices that support WiFi 6E and newer standards, including WiFi 7 and successive future WiFi versions.
Apple support for 6 GHz WiFi started with WiFi 6E in the M2 iPad Pro and then expanded to more devices in 2023, including the 2023 MacBook Pro, Mac mini, Mac Studio, Mac Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro models. However, some Apple devices still do not support 6 GHz WiFi. We recommend that you check the specifications of your specific Apple device to see if it supports 6 GHz WiFi.
