The Always On Device List displays devices that are unmanaged by Smart Parental Controls (SPC). We recommend selecting smart home devices like WiFi cameras and smart thermostats as always on devices. Devices listed in the Always on Device List are not managed or monitored by SPC. Even if you pause all of your connected devices, your always on devices remain connected to your WiFi network.
SPC detects the following device types: WiFi cameras, smart speakers, smart doorbells, security sensors, and other connected home devices. These types of devices are automatically assigned to the Home profile and appear in the Suggested Devices section during the setup process for the Always On Devices List.
To set up the Always On Device List feature in NETGEAR Smart Parental Controls:
- Launch the Orbi app.
- Tap Parental Controls.
- Tap Always On Device List below the Home profile.
- Tap SET UP.
A list of suggested and unknown devices displays. Unknown devices are devices that are not assigned to any profile. - Select the devices that you want to add to the Always On Device List.
- Tap Save.
