With your audio visual (AV) user interface (UI), you can use either a preconfigured profile template or a custom profile template that you created to set up one or multiple network profiles. The advantage of a custom profile template is that you can enable multicast and PTP and you can enable QoS settings with either a DSCP or CoS configuration.

You can change the settings on an existing custom profile template, but you cannot change the settings on a preconfigured profile template.

To configure a network profile using your AV UI:
  1. Launch a web browser.
  2. In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch.

    The Login windows displays

  3. Enter admin as the user name and enter your local device password.

    The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must specify a local devicepassword to use each subsequent time that you log in.

  4. Click Login.
  5. Select Configure > Network Profiles.

    The network profile page displays.

  6. In the Profiles Template table do one of the following:
    1. For a preconfigured profile template, click the gear icon.
    2. For a custom profile template, click Create AV Template.
    The Profile Configure window displays.
  7. Select the ports to which the network profile must apply:
    1. Untagged port. Add a port as an untagged port by clicking it until it is marked with a green icon.
    2. Tagged port. Add a port as a tagged port by clicking it until it is marked with a T icon.
    3. Excluded. Exclude a port from the VLAN by not clicking the port at all or by clicking it until it is not marked with a green icon or T icon.
  8. In the Profile Name field, enter a name for the network profile.
  9. In the VLAN ID menu, select a VLAN ID.
  10. To add a color to the network profile, click the Color menu and select a color.
  11. To assign a specific IP address to the network profile, do the following:
    1. Click Edit IP Setting.

      The field turns green and the IP address menu and fields are enabled to adjust.

    2. From the IP Settings menu, select Static or DHCP.

      By default, None is selected. If you select Static, you must specify the IP address settings manually. (See the following step.) If you select DHCP, a DHCP server in your network assigns an IP address to the network profile.

    3. For a static IP settings, specify the IPv4 address and subnet mask in the IP Address and Subnet Mask fields.
  12. Click Save.

Your settings are saved. The window closes. The Network Profiles page displays again.
