Bug Fixes:
- Compliant with California Privacy Law: Force user to change the default password on first login to the device.Fixes issue when OIDs set value failed for POWER-ETHERNT-MIB and NETGEAR-POWER-ETHERNET-MIB.
Known Issues:
- While 10.0.0 supports both M5300 and older GSM73xxSv1h2 so that the two series can stack together, the new 11.0.0 does not support mixed stacks, only homogenous M5300 model stacks.
- If the network is configured to use DHCP mode on the previous version, after it upgrades to 11.0, the network interface protocol mode will change to ‘none’, the IP is set to ‘0.0.0.0', and DHCP mode is enabled on the management VLAN instead.
- M5300 only supports IPv6 management on management VLAN if the L3 license (routing and multicast) is installed.
- Auto-install is unable to apply a configuration file if the startup-config file contains commands for the network interface, which are not supported on 11.0.
- If ports are configured as protected ports, routing mode cannot be configured on the VLAN that has these protected ports.
- SDM changes on M5300:
- Maximum number of allowed VLANs changed from 4K to 1K in the default SDM (dual-ipv4-and-ipv6 data-center-enterprise) mode. If M5300 with 10.0.0 firmware has more than 1K VLAN, update from 10.0 to 11.0 removes all configured VLANs. Workaround: Manually reconfigure VLANs after the update.
- The 4K VLAN is retained in SDM “Dual-ipv4-and-ipv6 enterprise” mode and “Ipv4-routing enterprise” mode.
- When using the SDM with multicast, the following features are not supported. Workaround: Use other SDM template.
- IP Source Guard
- DHCP Snooping
- Dynamic ARP Inspection
- PVST/PVST+ in M5300 only supports VLAN ID range from 1 to 1024. Workaround: If you enable PVST, make sure all VLAN IDs are in the range of 1 to 1024.
