The Nighthawk and Orbi apps enable you to connect a mobile device to your router’s WiFi network using a QR code. Connect a mobile device with the Nighthawk or Orbi app to your router’s network and share WiFi access to other mobile devices. Use the following instructions to give WiFi access to a mobile device.
Note: The mobile device that you want to connect to your WiFi network must support QR code scanning.
To connect your device to your NETGEAR router’s network using the QR code feature in the Nighthawk or Orbi app:
- Launch the Nighthawk or Orbi app from your mobile device.
- Tap WiFi Settings.
- Select a WiFi band that you would like to give access to.
- Tap Share WiFi with QR Code.
The QR code for that WiFi connection displays. - Scan the QR code with another mobile device to connect to your network.
- Tap Join.
