WPA3 is the latest security standard from the Wi-Fi Alliance, supported by WiFi 6 and newer routers.
To enable WPA3 security on your NETGEAR router:
Note: The WPA3 security feature is available on your router’s 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. You can choose to enable WPA3 on one band or both bands.
- Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your router’s network.
- Enter www.routerlogin.net.
A login window displays. - Enter the router user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time that you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC page displays. - Select Wireless.
The Wireless Settings page displays - Under Security Options in the Wireless Network (2.4GHz b/g/n/ax) section, select WPA3-Personal.
- Under the Security Options (WPA3-Personal) section, enter a password for your network.
- Repeat this process for the Wireless Network (5GHz 802.11a/n/ac/ax) section.
WPA3 is enabled on your wireless network.
