Change Your Orbi Pro WiFi System's Admin or Employee WiFi Network Settings in the Cloud Portal

You can configure up to three wireless networks on your Orbi Pro WiFi System: one for administrative access, one for employee access, and one for guest access. You can change the settings for any existing network in Insight. Use a computer with a wired connection when you change your administrative network's network name (SSID) or other WiFi security settings. Otherwise, you will be disconnected when you click the Apply button.

To change your Orbi Pro's admin or employee WiFi network settings in the Insight Cloud Portal:

  1. Access the Insight Cloud Portal.
  2. If you are an Insight Pro user with access to more than one organization, select your organization.
  3. Select your location.
  4. At the top, select Devices.
  5. Double-click your Orbi Pro WiFi System.
  6. On the left, select WiFi Networks.

  7. Double-click the network that you want to change.
  8. To disable the network, turn the switch at the top off.
  9. To change the name, under SSID, enter a new name between 2 and 32 characters and write it down somewhere safe.
  10. To hide the network from public discovery, turn off Broadcast SSID.
  11. To secure your network, under Security Options, select a WPA option:
    • WPA2-PSK[AES]
    • WPA-PSK[TKIP]+WPA2-PSK[AES]

    The WPA2 option uses the newest standard for the strongest security, but some older computers and WiFi devices cannot use WPA2. If your network includes older computers and WiFi devices, click the WPA-PSK[TKIP]+WPA2-PSK[AES] radio button.

  12. If your network is secured, under Password, enter any new password between 8 and 63 text characters long. To view this password, click the eye icon.

    Write down this password somewhere safe.

  13. When you are done changing your WiFi settings, click the Save button.
