Upgrade Procedure:
- Download the new firmware 1.7.0.2 from the NETGEAR product support Website and store it on a local PC, remembering its location in the PC’s file system. Unzip it to get the switch firmware image GS908E_V1.7.0.2.bin.

- HTTP is the only method to update the new firmware from the PC to the switch. Below are the steps to update the firmware.
- a. Go to GUI page Advanced Settings > Firmware.
- Click the file folder icon, then locate and select the new firmware image file.
- Click the Apply or UPDATE button.
- When the update is complete, your switch restarts. The update process typically takes about several minutes.
WARNING:
Do not interrupt the network connection or power to the switch, or refresh or close the browser window during this process. Do not disconnect any Ethernet cables or power off the switch until the process is complete.
