Client rate limiting is supported on wireless controllers WC7500, WC7600v1, WC7600v2 and WC9500 in firmware release 6.5.5.0 and above. It allows you manage how the available bandwidth is distributed among the Wi-Fi clients of a profile in a profile group on a radio of a managed access point.
Client rate limiting is supported for access point models WAC720, WAC730, and WAC740.
Configuring Client Rate Limit:
1. Login to your wireless controller admin page and navigate to Configuration > Profile > Basic > Rate Limit.
If your access points have been moved from the Basic group to a different group, the client rate limiting is applied in Configuration > Profile > Advanced > Rate Limit.
In the Client Rate Limit section, the page provides a tab for each Wi-Fi radio.
2. In the Client Rate Limit section, click the tab for the radio for which you want to configure client rate limiting.
3. For each profile on a Wi-Fi radio, select a value in Mbps from the Rate Limit menu.
You can select a value from 0 Mbps (which disables client rate limiting) and 50 Mbps (the maximum value).
4. Click the Apply button. Your settings are saved.
