In order to log in to update or make changes to your NETGEAR router’s settings, you’ll need to use your router’s admin credentials. If you haven’t changed your admin password before, the default password is ‘password’ and the default username is ‘admin.’
On the other hand, your NETGEAR account is different from your admin credentials and is used for all of your NETGEAR products to receive important security improvements, activate your warranty, and much more.
