In ReadyNAS OS 6.9, we allow you to use custom port numbers when configuring backup jobs and ReadyDR. Previously, you were required to use the default port number associated with each protocol, which typically works well for LAN environments but did not work well for communicating with devices over the internet using port-translated addresses.
For Backup Jobs, you can use custom ports on remote FTP, RSYNC, and RSYNC over SSH configurations. Additionally, you can set a custom port for remote ReadyDR servers.
For ReadyDR, please note that ReadyDR supports an automatic key exchange function when communicating to remote ReadyDR hosts. While you can select a custom port for ReadyDR transport, ReadyNAS tries to access the Admin Page over port 443 for automatic key exchange. If the ReadyNAS Admin Page is not accessible on port 443 at the same Host address, please utilize the manual key exchange method.
