Your Insight account is only locked under one of the following conditions:
- You have more than two Insight-managed devices connected to your Insight account when Insight 4.0 launches on February 14, 2018.
- Your Insight subscription expires while you have more than two Insight-managed devices connected to your account.
- Your Insight subscription purchase or renewal fails because your credit card cannot be processed.
Adding NETGEAR products that are not managed by Insight to your Insight account does not use device credits. For more information about which products require an Insight subscription device credit, see What devices can I discover, monitor, and manage with Insight?.
To unlock your account, take one of the following actions:
- Purchase more device credits (or renew your subscription, if your account is locked because your subscription expired). For more information, see How do I purchase or upgrade an Insight subscription plan?.
- If your purchase or renewal failed, update your payment information:
- In the Android app, tap the menu icon and tap Account Management > Insight Subscriptions > Billing & Payment.
- In the Insight Cloud Portal, click Account Management > Subscriptions > Billing & Payment.
- Remove Insight-managed devices from your account.
All Insight users receive two free device credits towards an Insight Basic subscription, so you can continue to use Insight Basic to manage two Insight devices even after your subscription expires. For more information, see How do I remove a device from my Insight account?.
