The following article describes the process that must be completed once your cable modem router has been provisioned by your ISP in order to obtain Internet access.
If you have not provisioned your cable modem with your ISP please contact your ISP and have your device provisioned. For more information about provisioning and setup please refer to https://kb.netgear.com/24938/How-do-I-connect-my-NETGEAR-Cable-Modem-Router
To complete the setup of your cable modem router:
- Turn on the device by pressing the on/off button. If your device does not have a on/off button simply plug it into a power outlet and device will power on.
- Connect your computer wired or wirelessly to the gateway.
- Launch an Internet browser and Type http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com
- Admin Account page will pop up, create new password and confirm the password for administrative login.
- Select Security questions and click next.
- Once the setup has finished, the Congratulations page displays, click Next to test the connection.
- Finally the registration page will come and set up will be completed.
- You should now be able to browse the Internet.
