You can sync files between your ReadyNAS and a Microsoft Azure blob container.
You must configure an Azure Storage account before setting up syncing with your ReadyNAS. As part of the Azure Storage account setup process, you set up a name for your account. After setting up the account name and all other applicable settings to your deployment, you can access the settings of your storage account to acquire access keys. You must enter your storage account name and the access key as part of the ReadyNAS synchronization setup. For setting up your Azure account, visit the Azure portal at https://portal.azure.com.
To set up syncing:
- Log in to your ReadyNAS Admin Page.
- Select Cloud.
- Set the Azure On-Off slider so that the slider shows the On position.
The Azure window opens. - Enter your documented Storage Account name and Access key from Azure.
After populating the Storage Account name and Access Key, the Region box is enabled. - Select the region where your storage account was created
For China, select China; otherwise, select Global. - If you have an existing blog container attached to your storage account, it will appear in the Blob Container Name list. If a blob container does not exist, you can create a new Blob container from the ReadyNAS Admin Page by dropping the Blob Container Name list down and selecting Create a new Blob container.
Selecting Create a new Blob container pops open a window that prompts you for the new container's name. Type a name for your blob container and click Create. - Once your blob container is selected, click Next.
- Configure any upload or download bandwidth speed limits. For no limits, enter 0. When done, click Create.
The Azure - Session window appears. - Enter a value in the Local Path field by browsing the ReadyNAS for the location you want to sync.
- Enter a value in the Cloud Storage Path field by browsing the ReadyNAS to the location you want to sync. Browse will allow you to select a folder from Azure.
- Choose a value in the Sync Direction field (Bidirection, Download cloud storage changes only, or Upload local storage changes only).
- Click the Create button.
The Azure - Session window closes.
The ReadyNAS applies the settings to sync with your Azure blob container.
You can add and modify Azure blob sync sessions by clicking the Settings button under Azure.
