ReadyNAS OS 6.8 offers an enhanced SMB experience for macOS users. These enhancements resolve complaints regarding slow loading of directories with a large amount of files over SMB.
Enabling macOS SMB Enhancements
- From the Admin Page, click System > Settings.
- Under Services, click SMB. A dialog windows appears.
- Check the box on Enhance MacOS, then click Apply. This change takes place immediately.
Disabling macOS SMB Enhancements
- From the Admin Page, click System > Settings.
- Under Services, click SMB. A dialog windows appears.
- Uncheck the box on Enhance MacOS, then click Apply. This change takes place immediately.
