Bug Fixes
- Fixes the issue where a file cannot be downloaded by ReadyCLOUD because the file name includes the one of the following characters:

- Fixes the issue where www.routerlogin.com cannot be accessed because PPPOE or PPPOA is disconnected.
- Fixes the issue where IPv6 does not work properly when the IPv6 WAN is configured as “Auto Config” and the LAN is configured as “DHCP.”
- Fixes the issue where IPv6 does not work after the firmware is updated from firmware V1.0.2.4 to V1.0.3.4.
- Fixes the issue where more than 10 keyword entries cannot be added in the Block Sites page.
- Fixes the issue where the PPTP setup fails, which prompts an “Incorrect ISP username and password” message.
- Fixes the issue where users can’t access the Internet if they are connected to the guest WiFi network and the router is in AP mode.
- Fixes the issue where the router might not get an IP address if the DHCP server changes.
- Fixes security issues.
Firmware Upgrade Instructions:
Note: To avoid wireless disconnect issues during the firmware download process, NETGEAR recommends that the firmware upgrade be performed on a computer with a wired connection.
- Write down all the settings that were changed from the default values as you may need to re-enter them manually.
- Using the Download Link below, download and extract the new firmware to a convenient place such as your desktop. The filename after extracting is R7500v2-V1.0.3.10.img
Download Link: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/R7500v2/R7500v2-V1.0.3.10.zip - To log in to the router type http://www.routerlogin.net into your web browser address bar (such as Internet Explorer or Google Chrome).
- Click ADVANCED tab > Administration > Firmware Upgrade.
- Click Browse and find the file you just downloaded.
- Click Upload. Do not interrupt the upgrade during this step.
Important Note:
- The upgrade process is complete when the on screen progress bar completes. If the power LED light turns amber and blinks, power cycle the router to complete the upgrade.
- If the upgrade progress bar on web GUI doesn't display correctly during the firmware upgrade, you can still check the status using the Power LED. The Power LED should be blinking (amber) during firmware upgrade. After the firmware upgrade is complete and the system boots up, it changes to a steady amber color.
- Please DO NOT power off or reboot the device during the firmware upgrade, otherwise, it may result in corrupt firmware and cause the device not to work.
