You can control both the Port LEDs and the Power LED on your Nighthawk switch.
You can turn the blue port LEDs on the switch on and off, either by pushing the button to the left of port 8 on the back of the switch, or by using the management interface. By default, a port LED lights when you connect a powered-on device to the port.
You cannot turn off the Power LED, but you can dim it.
To turn the port LEDs on or off using the management interface:
- Open a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to the same network as the switch or is connected to the switch directly through an Ethernet cable.
- Enter the IP address that is assigned to the switch or use a saved bookmark.
The login page opens. - Enter the switch password.
The Home page displays. - Select ADVANCED SETTINGS > Port LEDs.
- Turn the port LEDs on or off by clicking the slider.
When the port LEDs are on, the background is blue. When the ports LEDs are off, the background is white. - Click APPLY.
Your settings are saved.
To dim or brighten the Power LED:
- Open a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to the same network as the switch or is connected to the switch directly through an Ethernet cable.
- Enter the IP address that is assigned to the switch or use a saved bookmark.
The login page opens. - Enter the switch password.
The Home page displays. - Select ADVANCED SETTINGS > Power LED.
- Dim or brighten the Power LED by clicking the slider.
When the Power LED is brightened, the background is blue. When the Power LED is dimmed, the background is white. - Click APPLY.
Your settings are saved.
