NETGEAR has determined that certain RN3130, RN3138, WC7500, and WC7600v2 models (complete list below) might experience higher-than-normal hardware failure rates after a few years of operation.
While this situation is not an immediate cause for concern about the operation of any of these models, we understand that customers might have questions. We will be reaching out to all registered customers of the affected models over the next several months to determine the appropriate actions for their situations.

The model name and serial number for your product are listed on the product label. The following models and serial numbers are affected:
RN3130
All serial numbers are affected.
RN3138
Units where the fourth character of the serial number is a number in the range 0-8 are affected. The fourth character comes immediately after the model prefix, which is 4HM:
If the fourth character of the serial number is 9 or is a letter, the unit is not affected.
WC7500
The following model names are potentially affected:
- WC7500-10000S
- WC7500-100INS
- WC7500-100PRS
- WB7520-10000S
- WB7520-100NAS
- WB7530-10000S
- WB7530-100NAS
To see if your model is affected, check the serial number on the product label. If the fourth character of the serial number is a number in the range 0-3, the unit is affected. The fourth character comes immediately after the model prefix, which is 4JY:
If the fourth character of the serial number is a number in the range 4-9 or is a letter, the unit is not affected.
WC7600
The following model names are potentially affected:
- WC7600-20000S
- WC7600-200INS
- WC7600-200PRS
- WB7620-10000S
- WB7620-100NAS
- WB7630-10000S
- WB7630-100NAS
To see if your model is affected, check the serial number on the product label. If the fourth character of the serial number is a number in the range 0-3, the unit is affected. The fourth character comes immediately after the model prefix, which is 4JX:
