Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) security is an older superseded authentication and data encryption mode that has been replaced by the improved WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK authentication and data encryption methods. The WEP option only displays if you select Up to 54 Mbps from the Mode menu.
